21 Full Moons in France Collection

In February 2024 I was one of the artists in residence at a fairytale chateau in France. My primary focus was writing and illustrating my book, Spring Fairies.

Something happened on a magical full moon night when the bright light rose over the hills to the east where my studio window happened to overlook. Using my acrylic ink that my friend Pam had bought me in France, I started using the ink as outlines to capture this moment on 300 gram watercolor circles I had brought with me.

The circles were all stamped with the logo from the chateau, then painted with Van Gogh watercolors in Florida, then these well-traveled works of art were taken to our home, The1870Studio in Pennsylvania to be sealed with archival wax and polished to perfection.
Each of the 21 circles have a special story, is an original and priced at $187 including postage to USA addresses.

To purchase, email me with the number(s) of which one(s) you'd like, then I'll send you a payment link.
You will get a confirmation email after you purchase and shipping information.

Accidental Influencers

I'm not sure how and when it happened, but we've become influencers. I'm also not sure what exactly that means, so I did what we all do, I googled it. Images, words and even videos came up on the subject. None of them felt like us or looked like us. We're basically influencers who aren't. When ...

My 60th birthday was on May 11 and that's the day I finally talked Morton into going into the emergency room.  It was a Thursday and we had been to urgent care on Monday, just a few days before where he was told he had bronchitis and was put on medicine to stop him throwing up. It turns out he wa...

Blooming Spring

April is almost finished and our weather has been a bit confused. Temperatures soared into the 80's while I was in Florida writing the final chapters of my book, How I Met My Morton, and it seems that instead of bringing everyone home some Florida sunshine, I brought the cold stuff. The plants a...

Write what you know!

Wise words, said by someone clever, when asked about what a person should write about. Sounds simple. We know it, we lived it, we write it. Florida February 2023

One this last day of January 2023 we woke up to snow. It wasn't a lot, maybe half an inch or so. Pretty to look at, cold to touch. Thankfully only a trip to the post office to send orders off to lovely customers and no shoveling or plowing was needed. Since our son has moved in and is turning th...
